Meet the Envoys

valEnvoyVal Cripps sings Baritone in the Envoys. He was born in Gladwin, Michigan. Val has two children and four grandchildren. He is a skilled homebuilder and trim carpenter. Formerly a school teacher, Val received his BA in sociology from Spring Arbor College. Val is a Sound Technician and the wunderkind designer of the Envoy bus. He enjoys motorcycles, building and craftsmanship and all types of music.
PhilEnvoyPhil sings bass in the Envoys. He was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. He is married to Marilyn and has three children and four grandchildren. He works as a Christian counselor and for a homeowners association management company. Phil has a BS in Psychology from Michigan State University and a Masters in Counseling from Winthrop University. He loves sports (Atlanta Braves, Green Bay Packers, Michigan State Spartans), tennis, Golf, Ping-Pong, reading, playing family games, and the beach. Phil is an Elder at Lakeshore Christian Fellowship, in Tega Cay, SC.
Steve Hill, the youngest Envoy, is happy to be reuniting in ministry with The Envoys.  He has previously been with The Envoys first in 2000 and then again from 2010-2013.  He studied Vocal Performance and Political Science at Winthrop U25659451_10213171012488624_4848925930555765559_nniversity.  Steve and his wife, Tori, have been actively involved in ministry together since 2001 at Narroway Productions in Fort Mill, SC.  He has played the part of Willie in the original cast of “Not Just Another Love Story”, Barabbas in the story of “The Fourth Cross”, and in “Samson” he played the Angel of The Lord.  His biggest musical influences are The Singing Americans, The Cathedrals, The Gaither Vocal Band, The Eagles, Alabama, Danny Funderburk, Michael English, and Pavarotti.  Also, Steve enjoys playing the guitar.

dantreeDan Mills sings lead in the Envoys. He was born Lebanon, Oregon. Dan is married to Jean and has three daughters and eight grandchildren. He formerly served as senior pastor in Milpitas, CA. Dan has a BA from Trinity International University and a Doctorate in Theology from Slidell Seminary. He enjoys motorcycle riding, building things, hanging out with his family and seeing the sites. Dan attends First Baptist in Statesville, NC, where he serves as a discipleship teacher. He also volunteers in prison ministry.
