Meet the Envoys
Val Cripps sings Baritone in the Envoys. He was born in Gladwin, Michigan. Val has two children and four grandchildren. He is a skilled homebuilder and trim carpenter. Formerly a school teacher, Val received his BA in sociology from Spring Arbor College. Val is a Sound Technician and the wunderkind designer of the Envoy bus. He enjoys motorcycles, building and craftsmanship and all types of music.
Phil sings bass in the Envoys. He was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. He is married to Marilyn and has three children and four grandchildren. He works as a Christian counselor and for a homeowners association management company. Phil has a BS in Psychology from Michigan State University and a Masters in Counseling from Winthrop University. He loves sports (Atlanta Braves, Green Bay Packers, Michigan State Spartans), tennis, Golf, Ping-Pong, reading, playing family games, and the beach. Phil is an Elder at Lakeshore Christian Fellowship, in Tega Cay, SC.
Mark Liner sings tenor in The Envoys. He was born in Augusta, GA. Mark is married to Wanda and has three children. He serves at the Worship Leader and Music Director at Midway Baptist Church in York, SC. A pastor for 25 years, Mark earned his BA in Religion and English from Trevecca Nazarene University. He loves all music, softball, hunting, all sports (Duke, South Carolina Gamecocks, Carolina Panthers, Dallas Cowboys are favorites). His favorite music artists are GVB, the Imperials, Karen Carpenter, Boney James, Fourplay and The Envoys.
Dan Mills sings lead in the Envoys. He was born Lebanon, Oregon. Dan is married to Jean and has three daughters and eight grandchildren. He formerly served as senior pastor in Milpitas, CA. Dan has a BA from Trinity International University and a Doctorate in Theology from Slidell Seminary. He enjoys motorcycle riding, building things, hanging out with his family and seeing the sites. Dan attends First Baptist in Statesville, NC, where he serves as a discipleship teacher. He also volunteers in prison ministry.
